Lisa is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Los Angeles. Currently Lisa sees individuals, couples, and families with a wide variety of treatment needs. Areas of treatment include: relationship counseling, anxiety and depressive disorders in children and adults, parenting, trauma & PTSD, adjustment disorders, substance abuse & addiction, eating disorders, and creative and artistic development
In addition to her work in private practice, Lisa has facilitated numerous workshops at schools in the Los Angeles area for adolescents with topics ranging from body image, bullying, academic stress, eating disorders, media and self-esteem, parent-teen relationships and substance abuse prevention. She has also facilitated numerous lectures and discussions for parents on how to connect and communicate with their teens. A specialty in Lisa’s practice is working with adolescents who are dealing with anxiety, peer pressure, academic stress, and bullying, helping them to develop psychological awareness and insight.
Lisa received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and did extensive research in the area of creativity, and its therapeutic value to aid in healing psychological symptoms and trauma, as well as its important role in education.
The ultimate goal in Lisa’s work with clients is to create an environment where individuals can uncover their emotional blocks as well as heal the imbalances that may keep them from their full potential growth. Lisa has extensive training in various treatment modalities, but most often utilizes a psychodynamic approach while also focusing on empowering her clients to be in charge of their own discoveries.
